PROCESS AUTOMATION & SYSTEMS ENGINEERING
Systems That Earn Their Place
I'm Thomas Emmerling. I build practical software, automation, and systems for teams that are tired of repeated manual work.
I start with how the work actually moves today, including the handoffs, edge cases, and quiet spreadsheet fixes.
I connect the tools you already use, replace brittle steps, and keep the solution focused on the job.
The goal is simple: less repeated effort, fewer process gaps, and technology that earns its place every week.
Start with the friction you feel every week. The right solution should remove work, not add another dashboard nobody opens.
Manual Data Entry
Turn inbox attachments, PDFs, forms, and pasted notes into structured records your team can actually use.
Clunky Spreadsheets
Replace fragile spreadsheet handoffs with clean tables, repeatable queries, and views built for fast decisions.
Siloed Software
Connect the tools already running your business so information moves without copy-paste, screenshots, or retyping.
A few live examples of how I think through state, data, interaction, and deployment.

Why Work With Me
Long before I called this consulting, I was the person who noticed a broken process, asked why it had to stay that way, and built a cleaner path.
At NMCSD, I helped the credentialing office scan paper documents into a PC, organize them by clinic, and create an intranet landing page so staff could look up records remotely instead of making repeated phone calls.
When my dentist’s PCs were running slow, I helped clean them up and contacted the dental software vendor before OS migrations to ask what steps were needed to avoid data loss or corruption.
At Merkle, recurring campaign-status calls kept circling the same questions. I built a report from an existing view so the team could see status directly and reduce repetitive discussion.
If we need to discuss sensitive information during or after the call, I can send a NDA over.
